I'm looking at a used car where the dealer doesn't give out Carfax reports. Anyone have a Carfax account and willing to run a VIN for me?

What does the carfox say?

It says there are 17 records for this vehicle and I want to access them without giving money to the Car Fox.

vsvin.info has several checks that you're supposed to be able to do per day. auto check though...I can run it from there if you don't want to.

That vsvin.info isn't giving out new authorization codes...and Auto Check appears to also cost money.

I can't offer you that, but I do have a Montero for sale of that same vintage.

Is it an '01-'02 Montero Limited, or '02-'03 Montero Sport Limited?

Carfax is wrong a lot of time. Call your insurance agent, or company, and have them run an ISO on the VIN. It will tell of ANY incident reported to ANY insurance company, including roadside assistance, and towing.

In this case I was looking to see if this particular carfax had any service records. But yes I understand carfax isn't a complete picture.
